Armor, Feast Days, and Pie

What an amazing week it has been at Holy Cross Primary School. In religion class, we started with our Bible story with St. Paul telling us to put on the Armor of God. The boys learned of the many different parts of the armor and got to decorate their own Holy Cross Warriors. Can you believe that it has already been 40 days since Christmas? Thursday we celebrated the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord. The Lower School students attended Mass at the main campus Thursday to celebrate such a feast. Friday was the Feast of St. Blaise, the patron saint against choking. The students briefly learned of his legacy and how it is a tradition to bless throats on that day in his honor. But nothing compares to our end of the week activity! As a treat for raising the most money for our Pennies For Patients fundraiser, two students were given the joy of being able to pie both Coach Chris and Mr. Andrew in the face in front of the entire student body. It was such a sweet send off!
